and a bride in the making.

At the very same hour, and at the same villas, Nethra is made a bride. New silk, fresh turmeric, and a brass platter carrying bangles, jasmine and everything a blessing requires. The bangles go on in a particular order. The jasmine goes in whether or not anybody asked. Both of these are non-negotiable.
